Standard II
Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments.
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards.
Reflections and Artifacts
I chose the WebQuest because it is so difficult for teachers to make high-quality on-line materials without accidentally violating copyright laws. The WebQuest serves as a simple and tutorial for teachers and student to use. While it could be used to meet one of the other standards, I felt it met this standard best since it walks the teacher through the design of a project while teaching them how to find safe materials. Office 365 Groups is an enterprise class collaboration software that can be used free of charge in schools . It can serve a multitude of purposes, it can even become a learning management system for the classroom. I chose this artifact because Microsoft has included so many tools that this one tool meets all the standards. While the Office 365 Classroom was not announced at the time I created this project, it is a powerful tool that allows for all learning styles and allows students to manage their own learning. As my final artifact for Standard II, I chose "The Bryant Blog" . This particular blog covers a variety of tools for this standard. The blog itself could be a learning tool for teachers who are seeking digital tools for the classroom. While websites like Ning have fallen away since the originally writing of my blog, other tools like Wikis, podcasts and Slideshare are still being used eight years later.

Future Learning Goals
I hope to expand my skills so that I am better able to instruct teachers how to create high quality student resources and assessments to engage students in the learning experience. I also want to facilitate that interaction between teachers and students with expert sources throughout the world to broaden student understanding for better understanding of presented material in the classroom. Students can attend lectures of professors at ivy league universities or witness a scientific experiment conducted by a leading scientist in his/her field of study, all via Office 365 groups. Most important to stay abreast of the resources available to provide an excellent education to our students no matter the size of the school district or their budget. I would like to expand my blog to review emerging teaching tools and create a useful resource for teachers. I would also like to advocate for the use of wikis instead of textbooks in our schools. The savings would allow us to expand our 1:1 programs, and even help to pay for cellular hotspots for those students that do not have access to the Internet.
